Surfers Paradise!

So after spending 3 nights in Byron Bay, we moved onto to Surfers Paradise, crossing the border into Queensland. We stayed only one night here. The place was very built up and reminded me a lot of a Spanish seaside resort, completely different to Byron Bay, with massive high-rise buildings all along the sea front. The beach was really lush though - the sand was so fine that it squeaked when you walked on it and the sea was really warm. We hung out at the beach in the morning, and in the afternoon Claire and Sam went off to have another surfing lesson. Kerry decided against it as her knees were really manky after surfing before, and I as I have spent too much money, I thought I would give this one a miss. So whilst Claire and Sam were surfing, me and Kerry topped up our tans, frolicked in the sea, wandered around the town, and had an ice-cream! What more could you want?

We didn't really do much else that it worth telling you. The weather was really nice again though, a lovely 26C and beautiful clear skies - I could definitely get used to this! After a cheeky drink in an Irish Bar, it was time to go home and pack, and get ready for the bus the next morning to our next stop...Brisbane. A short and sweet trip to the Gold Coast!
